Planetary Innovator Speaker Series | The Silver Bullet of Energy? Global Perspectives on Hydrogen Innovation

Global Innovation Event

Climate change is posing increasingly severe threats to the sustainable development of our society. An urgent energy transition from traditional fossil fuels to clean fuels is needed. Hydrogen, one of the alternative energy sources, has been heavily studied and invested in globally due to its great potential of producing energy with zero emissions. To bring our Yale community closer to the current development of hydrogen initiatives around the world, Tsai CITY and CBEY welcome you to the second Planetary Innovator Speaker Series event this academic year.

On Wednesday, November 30th, a panel of Climate Fellows including Ms. Sarah Alharthey, Mr. Gabriel Guggisberg Alarcón, Ms. María José González, and Mr. John Lee from Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs will discuss how the hydrogen economy is being promoted and how hydrogen infrastructure is being deployed across the globe.

The Climate Fellows are leaders in the clean energy transition from different countries. This newly launched fellowship by Yale’s Jackson School of Global Affairs aims to facilitate knowledge exchange between emerging leaders. The panel will be held at Burke Auditorium, Kroon Hall, on Wednesday, November 30th, from 4:30 - 5:30 PM and will be followed by a roundtable networking reception from 5:30-7:00 PM.

At the roundtable networking reception, all 16 Climate Fellows will share their work with the Yale Community over light refreshments and mingling. Through these consecutive events, Yalies will gain a deeper understanding of the current hydrogen economy, identify potential opportunities for a carbon-negative future, and connect with global clean energy leaders.
