Artistic Innovator Micro-Residency Curator

The Artistic Innovator Micro-Residency is a unique incubation opportunity designed for emerging Yale student artists who are keen on experimentally expanding the boundaries of their respective visual and performing artistic disciplines. The Artistic Innovator Micro-Residency Curator will have a variety of responsibilities.
These include supporting recruitment submissions from diverse artists by conducting a strategic marketing campaign. This campaign will utilize social media, group chats, and email outreach to reach its target audience. The curator will also assist with program logistics and facilitation, which includes coordinating installations of artwork and managing tech for performances.
In addition, the curator will manage program communications and develop multimedia documentation. They will also be tasked with identifying partners and opportunities for collaboration within the creative innovation ecosystem at Yale and beyond.
Furthermore, the curator will conduct outreach to alumni and leaders in the field of creative innovation. They will assist with the research and development of resources for creative innovation. Lastly, the curator will perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Passionate about creative innovation and experimental expansion of visual and performing artistic disciplines
- Strong communication, writing, research, and project management skills
- Detail-oriented with experience in coordinating student programming
- Experience in developing strategic partnerships and conducting targeted outreach
- Familiarity with innovative trends in the arts
- Proficiency with audio-visual equipment set-up
- The capability of managing artistic installations
- Availability of 8-13 hours per week
