Cultural Center Liaison

Academic Year 2027

Tsai CITY’s Cultural Center Liaisons serve as a bridge between Tsai CITY and Yale's cultural centers, helping students discover resources, funding opportunities, programs, and spaces that support innovation, creativity, leadership, and community impact. Liaisons work closely with a designated cultural center to build relationships, host regular office hours, and support collaborative programming that makes innovation more accessible and relevant to diverse student communities. Through this role, Liaisons help demystify innovation and empower students to see themselves as innovators, problem-solvers, creators, and changemakers.

 

Currently seeking liaisons for: the Asian American Cultural Center, The House, and La Casa. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Hold monthly office hours within the assigned cultural center
  • Serve as a resource connector between students and Tsai CITY opportunities
  • Build relationships with student leaders, organizations, and center staff to explore & build collaborative programming and initiatives
  • Attend select cultural center meetings and events
  • Share information about Tsai CITY funding, programs, workshops, and spaces
  • Gather feedback from students and identify emerging community needs
  • Work closely with Tsai CITY staff and fellow Cultural Center Liaisons throughout the academic year  

Job Requirements

  • Current Yale student – Yale College sophomore and juniors are especially encouraged to apply
  • Available to commit consistent weekly hours throughout the academic year
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships across diverse communities
  • Strong organizational skills and reliability
  • Interest in innovation, entrepreneurship, social impact, or creative problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple stakeholders
