DEI Coordinator

The DEI Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting Tsai CITY's DEI goals by fostering meaningful partnerships for program creation, identifying opportunities for training, and cultivating community and belonging for our diverse student population. The role involves identifying opportunities for meaningful collaboration with cultural centers and Graduate & Professional (G&P) schools, with the goal of supporting and increasing engagement with underrepresented students. This includes finding opportunities for programming, conducting listening sessions, and organizing focus groups among other activities. As a key liaison, the individual will be responsible for promoting Tsai CITY programs to cultural center communities through newsletters and other communication channels. The job also entails planning and executing programs in collaboration with key partners. This involves a broad range of duties, such as organizing logistics and scheduling, coordinating with speakers, drafting communications and promotional materials, and managing details on the day of the event.

Job Requirements

  • Candidates should be passionate about innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • They should show enthusiasm for engaging and supporting underrepresented groups in entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • Relevant experience in coordinating and managing student programs is a must.
  • Strong project management skills are required.
  • They should have a deep understanding of Yale's cultural centers.
  • The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in promoting a sense of belonging and inclusivity within the Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) ecosystem.
  • Active participation in one or more Yale cultural centers is desirable.
  • Candidates should possess an intuitive ability to identify programmatic needs or gaps.
  • They should have the capability to find solution-based partnerships to address these needs or gaps.
