Student Employee Enrichment & Development (SEED) Program

Program Description

Student employees at Tsai CITY will be automatically enrolled in the Tsai CITY Student Employee Enrichment & Development (SEED) Program upon being hired for a Tsai CITY position during the academic year. This program provides Tsai CITY student employees with a community of like-minded peers and professional development opportunities to advance their career goals and enhance their involvement with Tsai CITY. Students in the Tsai CITY SEED Program will be able to learn hard and soft skills through key professional development workshops and participate in community-building activities. In alignment with the Tsai CITY mission, the Tsai CITY SEED Program will inspire Tsai CITY’s student employees to incorporate an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset into their work and future commitments. 

Professional Development Workshops

The Professional Development Workshops are designed to provide students with both hard skills and soft skills that they can apply to their positions at Tsai CITY and future careers. While these sessions are required for student employees, the workshops will be no longer than 60 minutes, and students will be able to record the professional development workshop in their weekly hours. The professional development workshops will include a session on using an innovative approach to applying Design Thinking principles to life and career decision-making and how to market yourself for future careers in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Community Building Sessions

The Community Building Sessions allow Tsai CITY student employees to meet other students interested in entrepreneurship and innovation. The Community Building Sessions will be spaced out throughout the academic year and will be optional (but highly encouraged) for student employees to attend.
