Venture Associate

2025 academic year

 

We are hiring a team of Venture Associates to work on projects for the ventures in Tsai CITY's Accelerator program. Projects may include but are not limited to, digital marketing campaigns, financial modeling, product development, research, or brand guidelines creation.

Each Venture Associate will be paired with at least two Accelerator ventures each semester. Venture Associates develop strong working relationships with the ventures and are able to gain knowledge and experience in a wide range of project areas. Venture Associates are a great way for students to explore what it’s like to join an early-stage venture, work as a freelancer, and what types of ventures they enjoy working with.

Ideal candidates have an interest in early-stage ventures and demonstrated skills and/or experience in at least one of the following areas: finance, product/software development, marketing, operations, project management, graphic design. Preferred skills and experiences include social media management, software development, graphic design, and project management.

Job Requirements

  • Availability on Fridays (10:30am - 2:00pm) when classes are in session to attend in-person workshops, meetings with paired ventures, and team meetings with Venture Associates
  • Attend regular weekly meetings with the other Venture Associates, Lead Venture Associate, and Assistant Director of Student Programming
  • Communicate with other Venture Associates and paired ventures in-person and through digital platforms such as Slack
  • Create project plans for paired ventures and execute those plans in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other team members at Tsai CITY

 

Venture Associates work 8 hours per week. Weekly hours will include project work with Accelerator teams, meetings with Accelerator teams and Venture Advisors, attendance at Tsai CITY venture development events, and participation in the Tsai CITY Student Employee Extracurricular Development Program for professional development. This is a paid, student employment opportunity at Tsai CITY.
