WE@Yale Women Innovators Series: Mona Elsayed
The WE@Yale Women Innovators Series is designed to foster community discussion, idea sharing, and best practices in support of Yale women and non-binary femme entrepreneurs and innovators. Community members of all genders are welcome to attend these talks, which are free and open to the public. Join us to hear from Mona Elsayed, Head of Innovation Strategy at CHANEL.
Mona Elsayed leads strategy for the global innovation practice at CHANEL. The Global Innovation Practice at CHANEL was born in 2018, out of a desire to study the transformative forces – be they cultural, economic, commercial or technological – that are rapidly changing our world. Based in New York but working across the US, Europe and APAC, her team provides foresight, prototyping and experimentation capabilities to the organization. The new services, experiences, revenue streams and business models that they design aim to help future-proof the House.
Prior to CHANEL, Mona spent ten years as a strategist at various agencies including Redscout and Johannes Leonardo, where she learned the languages of user research, brand strategy, product innovation and experience design. As a consultant, she partnered with brands including the Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Bloomingdale’s, Google, the Park Avenue Armory, Johnson & Johnson and Design Within Reach.
A first generation Egyptian-American, Mona earned her B.A. from Yale University in 2008 in a Special Divisional Major (Art Semiotics). A member of Jonathan Edwards College, on campus Mona was the co-founder and publisher of Volume Magazine, a member of the Women’s Club Soccer team, and produced events for the student fashion design community.
This event will take place online; a Zoom link will be provided to registered attendees.
