On Oct. 18, Joseph Tsai, co-founder and executive vice chairman of Alibaba Group, and Yale alum Andrew Myers ’18, founder and CEO of RippleMatch, came to Yale for an entrepreneur spotlight.
In conversation with Joseph Tsai ’86 LAW ’90 and Clara Wu Tsai on Tuesday at Tsai CITY, Frances Pollock ‘25 MUS and Sola Fadiran ‘22 DRA described their vision of a system that treats artists like entrepreneurs, giving them the agency and investment to pursue their passion projects.
Last week, we celebrated our fifth birthday, and we were so thankful to do it in the company of the students, alumni, partners, staff, and mentors who’ve helped make Tsai CITY what it’s become over these past five years.
The student advisory board for the Tsai Center for Innovative Thinking at Yale held a community mixer this past week — the first event the group has hosted in its new building since it opened in 2020.
During the 2021–2022 academic year, Tsai CITY welcomed students into our sparkling, light-filled new building. Returning to in-person programming after a long hiatus was truly a cause for celebration, with staff and students alike reconnecting with enthusiasm and energy.
