Emily Roller
Emily Roller has a breadth of experience across the arts, education, nonprofit administration, and technology start-ups. She was the co-founder and Treasurer of Midnight Oil Collective, where she developed an incubator and accelerator for artists and helped raise its inaugural fund that launched 11 creative companies. She is the co-creator of MOC-Up, an AI-enabled program that supports artists who are building transmedia franchises, which was piloted through Collective CT, an accelerator hosted by MOC Innovations, Yale Ventures, and the Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development. Her work for the stage has been performed at venues across the country, and she is the recipient of notable fellowships including American Opera Projects Composers and the Voice and Washington National Opera’s American Opera Initiative. She has also taught grades 4-12 in a variety of school environments and has designed entrepreneurial workshop events and series for universities including Yale and the University of Michigan. She holds a BA in English from Yale (‘07), an MA in Writing from Johns Hopkins, and an MFA in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
