Intensive: From Campus to Market (C2M)

Overview

From Campus to Market (C2M) is a five-week intensive designed to help Yale innovators translate advanced technologies into viable businesses.

Developed by Tsai CITY and ClimateHaven, with support from partners across Yale’s innovation ecosystem, the program combines practical frameworks, expert guidance, and hands-on work to help participants navigate technology commercialization.

Participants examine the core assumptions behind their ventures across problem, product, people, and profit and develop a clearer path for bringing promising technologies from campus into the market.

Resources

Participants gain access to:

• Interactive workshops and expert-led sessions
• Practical commercialization frameworks and tools
• Guidance from founders, investors, and ecosystem leaders
• Support aligning market research, technoeconomic analysis, and financial planning
• Connections to New Haven’s climate and tough-tech startup ecosystem
• A capstone opportunity to present your venture strategy to mentors and ecosystem leaders 

Application and Criteria

C2M may be a good fit if you:

• Are a Yale student working with an advanced technology
• Want to explore the commercial potential of your technology
• Need to strengthen or pressure-test your business model
• Are ready to examine assumptions about your market, product, team, operations, and financial strategy

Expectations

Program length: 5-weeks
Format: Weekly, interactive sessions

Participants should be prepared to:

• Attend each program session
• Complete hands-on exercises and deliverables
• Test and refine key venture assumptions
• Develop an actionable commercialization strategy
• Present their strategy at the conclusion of the program
