Overview

This opportunity is designed for students who aspire to be joiners—someone who works at an early-stage startup but does not necessarily want to be a founder. Joiners can work in a wide variety of roles at a startup, often wearing multiple hats. By working on an early-stage startup team, joiners can gain valuable experience in product development, sales, marketing, operations, and project management. 

Joiner ↔ Founder Matchmaking

Are you interested in gaining experience working with an early-stage startup? Tsai CITY will help facilitate matching student joiners with student-led startups in Tsai CITY’s Venture Development Programs (Launch Pad & Accelerator). As a joiner working on projects with student founder teams, you have access to the following resources:

• Invitations to sessions on key venture development topics and skill-building workshops
• Access to a gallery of available projects from student founders
• Invite-only matchmaking sessions between student founders and joiners

Application and Criteria:

To participate as a joiner, you must adhere to the following criteria:

• You must be a current Yale student
• You can attend a matchmaking event with student founders and joiners
• You can commit to submitting bi-weekly updates to Tsai CITY staff on project progress if you are matched with a student founder
