Technology Fluency And Considerations For Early-Stage Startups

technology

As a non-technical founder, what are some considerations for starting a startup? What skills or partnerships do you need to develop to be best prepared? What are some techniques and resources to do so? What new technologies should you be paying attention to, and what do they really mean?

We will deal with these and other questions, drawing from Tom's experience as a startup founder, operator, and management consultant.

A former engineer and entrepreneur, Tom is a Junior Principal at QuantumBlack, a McKinsey Company. Tom works with organizations across different sectors (e.g. financial services, retail, health care) to help them adopt and unlock value from new technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain. Prior to consulting, Tom was co-founder and CTO of Commandiv, a FinTech startup based in New York. He is a resident of New Haven and is originally from West Haven, CT.
