Get your venture ready for what’s next.

Venture Ready helps early-stage Yale founders prepare scalable, venture-backable startups for institutional funding.

Through hands-on workshops, individualized coaching, mentorship, and access to experienced founders and investors, participants strengthen their strategy, sharpen their story, and build the tools needed to approach fundraising with confidence.

Venture Ready is designed for teams that have moved beyond the earliest stages of building and are actively fundraising or preparing to fundraise within the next six months.

Resources

Participants receive:

  • Hands-on workshops with industry experts
  • One-on-one coaching from experienced founders and venture capitalists
  • Structured mentorship and access to Tsai CITY’s venture capital network
  • Practical frameworks for fundraising, go-to-market strategy, and company growth
  • Post-program support, including a four-week fundraising sprint and investor introductions

Application and Criteria 

Venture Ready may be a good fit if your team:

  • Is building a scalable, venture-backable startup
  • Has at least a working prototype or early customers
  • Is actively fundraising or plans to fundraise within six months
  • Demonstrates strong founder-market fit
  • Shows clear venture-backable potential

Expectations

Program length: 7 sessions
Dates: September 25–November 20
Sessions: Fridays, 12–2 pm at Tsai CITY

By the end of the program, participants should have:

  • A clear venture funding thesis and long-term vision
  • A well-defined market, customer, and competitive position
  • A fundraise-ready financial model and go-to-market strategy
  • A fundraising strategy tailored to the company's stage
  • A compelling founder and company narrative
  • A polished pitch deck
  • Greater confidence navigating investor conversations and executing a fundraising sprint
